Artiste au Travail

Une installation qui met en oeuvre une situation burlesque d’un artiste attablé, cherchant obstinément une preuve de sa reconnaissance.
Un cendrier rempli de mégots, une tasse de café froid et un gigantesque tas de paquets de gâteaux « fortune cookies » (gâteau comportant des messages à l’intérieur) tous vides, présente une situation absurde. Éclairé par une lampe, l’artiste, après tant d’acharnement, trouve enfin dans un des gâteaux le papier sur lequel est écrit : « votre talent sera reconnu ».

An installation featuring the burlesque situation of an artist sitting at a table, obstinately seeking proof of his recognition.
An ashtray full of cigarette butts, a cup of cold coffee and a gigantic pile of empty packets of fortune cookies present an absurd situation. Illuminated by a lamp, the artist, after all his hard work, finally finds in one of the cakes the paper on which is written : “Your talent will be recognized”.
